"The Dietary Adjustments for Cancer Patients" by Dr. Hong Yin Shih
Dr. Shih, the Founder of Evergreen Healthy Vegetarian Association
will speak on the special
dietary needs of cancer patients and how we can help prepare food for
cancer patients while eat healthily for ourselves.

2:30 - 3:20 pm "All I want to know about Lung Cancer" by
Drs. Eng
Hong Huan and Tin Tin Hla
Dr. Huan is a pulmonologist , lung specialist, who performs the
diagnosis and evaluation for surgical candidate, that is, whether the
patient is safe for surgery or not. He will focus on incidence, risk
factors and causes, lung structure, diagnosis, bronchoscopy and
biopsy/needle biopsy and its process etc. - the criteria for surgery.
The treatment is usually conducted by surgical oncologist, radiation
oncologist and medical oncologist. Dr. Hla, an oncologist, previous
President of ACS-NCCU Board and a devoted volunteer, will speak on the
treatment at the end of Dr. Huan's talk. She will address the
pathology, staging, treatment and its complications.

"How and what should I talk to a cancer patient?" by Isabel Chiu, Sue
and Yen Chang.
The panel speakers are the Founder of ACS-NCCU, CPA and devoted patient
service volunteer, cancer patient/survivor and patient family member.
Sue has been battling with Breast cancer for 15+years and just
completed her radiation treatment. Yen has been a devoted and caring
husband who is always there to support Sue. They will share with you
their heart-felt personal experiences and stories and offer you their
suggestions.
